What Changes to HA would you like to see?
With Nightfall just around the corner, wouldn't the new expansion be an ideal time to totally revamp Heroes Ascent?
If they did revamp it, what would you like to see changed?
I would like to see totally new maps for one thing. Ditch the old ones and leave them in the Tombs where they belong. Interactive maps would be nice, with moving platforms, deadly projectiles, or even npcs to fight as well as the other team(s). 2 teams vs 2 teams would be interesting although I suspect there would be a lot of grief over this idea.
Oh and revamp the fame system - reset it if need be and earn fame per profession. So if you earned 180 fame monking you would be a rank 3 monk but rank 0 warrior. Makes sense to me anyway :P
Finally, a new system for making teams up faster would be nice, but sadly I can't see this ever happening. Come to think of it, I don't see any of my ideas happening but you can always dream........

I don't think the profession based rank is that necessary. Its mostly shows experience to the tactics and strats used on each map. Knowing when and where to body block etc.
Recognising priority targets and threats to your team and such.

New maps with different mechanics. Perhaps something where both ghostly spawn next to each other in the middle of the map and the first to kill the enemie's ghostly wins.
Or basically just another game type in HA, something other than annihilation (sp?), relic run, altar map, priest map.

Change HoH itself to be played on a variety of maps, rather than one stupid dias.
Revamp some of the gametypes. More relic-run type stuff with multiple control points, less dias.

A rune- armor- and itemchanger for pvpcharacters.
Appart from the excisting districts, districts for rank 0-2, 3-5, 6-8, 9+ This might speed up groupformation.
Make the ghost less powerfull, his influance on matches is too big, especially with interupting. I even had my infuse distracted once.

Change current maps. If Burrial is 1v1 now I don't see why it should still be that big? It's so annoying paing bloodspike when those noobs run around whole map and just make the match longer.

but serious: its a nice idea!
Also the 6vs6 I loved quite much so bring it back!
maybe the use of more npcs for bonusses/defensive positions or neutral parties that attack all... like the zeishan in the beginning, but the IN the map... strategic moving/pulling FTW...
all ideas that bring in more dept and tactics in HA I would support!
"C-space rank 9+ war LFG" should be in the past...

I agree with gaining fame for different professions, would solve a lot of problems forming pugs or even just finding a random as part of a guild team, also if you get a high ranked mesmer/ele/monk then you know they havent iwayed their fame and can actaully play.
Faster skill changes would keep things fresh, i dont care what map i play on, i just enjoy a good game against a good team, when you get a match vs a unique build with decent players thats where the fun starts.

Bad lame idea imo, that will stop people from testing new builds, at the moment people are already complaining about the lack of creative builds. Fame reduction for every lose will surely make ppl more reluctant to try new builds. It will also be more difficult for ppl to get into new team as nobody will want to play with players that they dont trust. People are more likely to stick with the build/team that they know and worked well (like iway, b-spike, duel smite, migraine). And what about the new players? Are they going to go -50 fames before getting their 1st fame? Then take them 3 weeks or more to be positive? Dont see how would that make HA better.

It wouldn't go negative. New players would effectively lose nothing untill they got to a point where they could net-gain fame. Only decent players would be able to do so at any kind of speed, resulting in a rank system that actually meant something.
Whilst I do agree that I can see how it would possibly limit the creativity, I don't honestly think creativity is a HA strongpoint anyway.
